Are you setting up the point but not finishing it by putting away the volley or overhead for a winner? You are not alone! The key to putting more balls away is good footwork and racquet head awareness. I tell my students to “set it and go get it!” It is very easy to hesitate, think too much, and stop your feet from moving to the ball. Often, we celebrate too early and are caught off guard by our opponent.
Practice at the net setting your racquet head out in front (do not move back!) and move your feet diagonally to contact. Watch the ball and hit more winners!
